Power Delivery - Director Business Development

Westwood Professional Services Inc.is seeking a Director Business Development to join our team. This position helps facilitate project success by collaborating with the Client and Project Team on all aspects of work related to Power Delivery Projects. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for managing the overall project scope schedule cost and risk management as well as establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with subcontractors regulatory agencies and any other project stakeholder. Primary focus of this role includes but is not limited to project management marketing business development client contact and growth of division services. The Senior Project Manager will also mentor and provide guidance to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets within the electric utility industry.
  2. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting networking and relationship-building with utility executives decision-makers and stakeholders.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends client needs and competitive landscape within the electric utility sector.
  4. Lead the development and presentation of proposals pitches and presentations to prospective clients showcasing our firms expertise capabilities and value proposition.
  5. Collaborate closely with internal teams including consultants project managers and subject matter experts to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet client needs and address industry challenges.
  6. Manage the end-to-end sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and close ensuring a seamless transition to project delivery teams.
  7. Maintain and nurture ongoing relationships with existing clients serving as a trusted advisor and seeking opportunities for additional engagements and upselling of services.
  8. Represent Westwood at industry conferences events and networking forums to raise awareness of our brand build relationships and generate leads.
  9. Stay abreast of industry developments regulatory changes and emerging technologies impacting the electric utility sector and leverage insights to inform business development strategies.
  10. Provide regular reporting and updates on sales pipeline client interactions and business development activities to senior management.

Required Experience

  • Proven track record of success in driving business growth achieving sales targets and cultivating relationships with utility clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the electric utility industry including market dynamics regulatory environment grid modernization and digital transformation.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Engineering or related field (Masters degree preferred).
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development sales or consulting roles within the electric utility industry.
  • Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to diverse audiences.
    Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset able to develop and execute business development plans aligned with company objectives.
    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative cross-functional team environment.
    Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients attend conferences and represent the company.

Compensation Range Maximum

USD $200000.00/Yr.
