An established equine practice in Georgia is offering an exciting Equine Veterinarian Internship designed to provide immersive hands-on experience in all aspects of equine medicine and surgery. This position offers new graduates the opportunity to gain confidence refine clinical and diagnostic skills and work alongside experienced veterinarians dedicated to mentorship and professional development.

Interns in this program are exposed to a diverse caseload ranging from preventative care and internal medicine to surgery dentistry and emergency work. The focus is on providing an exceptional educational experience in a supportive environment that emphasizes patient care client communication and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the diagnosis treatment and management of equine medical and surgical cases.
Participate in patient care client education and follow-up under the guidance of senior veterinarians.
Contribute to daily case discussions and collaborative decision-making.
Develop time management and clinical judgment skills through hands-on experience.
Foster strong relationships with clients and team members while maintaining professional integrity and compassion.

Qualifications

DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent).
Eligible for or holding a valid veterinary license in Georgia.
