The primary function of this role is the development of applications and scripts to support Non-Destructive Test ( NDT ) and Metrology inspections for aerospace components. The role includes requirements planning design development debug and test of new and existing inspection software. Image and data analysis are also a component of this role to support processing of inspections. This is a great opportunity to work in a small cohesive team of dedicated professionals who value teamwork and continuous learning.

What You Will Do:

Adherence to operational safety and emergency procedures.
Review customer requirements to understand and document project scope and intent.
Document design develop and implement inspection software and related process utilities.
Create and enhance 2D and Volumetric inspection processing software.
Develop algorithms to enhance automation and reduce image review requirements.
Perform image analysis on inspection data as needed to support the business needs.

Qualifications You Must Have:

B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years experience in software development.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Development experience with C# and Python.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organization and administrative skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard business software.
Working knowledge of quality management systems including AS9100 is a plus.

This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 66000 USD - 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
