Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in felony and misdemeanor jury trials from arraignment through verdict.
Draft motions negotiate settlements and advocate at hearings and sentencing.
Develop and implement defense strategies across a variety of criminal charges.
Communicate with clients empathetically guiding them through high-stakes situations.
Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure seamless case management from intake to resolution.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice in Iowa (or eligibility to obtain promptly).
Minimum 5 years of criminal defense experience including jury trials through verdict.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage files and cases independently.
Skilled oral advocate with polished courtroom presence.
Dedication to professionalism teamwork and client-focused service.
