NEASC Self-Reflection Committee Members are responsible for collaboratively examining the institutions alignment with NEASC standards through a structured and evidence-based self-assessment. Members gather data analyze practices and contribute to writing portions of the Self-Reflection Report. The goal is to ensure an honest thorough and constructive evaluation that supports continuous school improvement.

  • Study and understand the specific NEASC Standards relevant to the committees assigned area (e.g. Learning Leadership Resources).
  • Evaluate current institutional practices policies and outcomes in light of the NEASC standards.
  • Identify strengths and areas for growth or improvement.
  • Collect and review relevant documentation data and artifacts to support claims and findings.
  • Conduct interviews surveys or focus groups (if applicable) to gain insight from faculty staff students and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze findings critically and collaboratively.
  • Draft assigned sections of the Self-Reflection Report ensuring clarity accuracy and alignment with NEASC expectations.
  • Edit and revise content based on feedback from other committee members and leadership.
  • Ensure appropriate evidence is cited and properly referenced.
  • Attend and actively participate in regular committee meetings and training sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with the NEASC Accreditation Coordinator Steering Committee and other working groups.
  • Engage in constructive dialogue and consensus-building within the committee.
  • Approach the self-reflection process with honesty integrity and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Help formulate actionable recommendations based on findings.
  • Contribute ideas to strengthen institutional practices and student learning outcomes.

Qualifications Required:

  1. A Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university;
  2. Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education teacher licensure in grade and subject area appropriate for the assignment;
  3. Citizenship residency or work visa required
  4. Strong analytical and writing skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
  6. Familiarity with the schools mission strategic plan and current initiatives.

Terms:

This position is for the 2025-2026 academic school year. The pay for this position will be at the contractual rate of $37/hr up to a maximum of $1000 per Self-Reflection Committee Member. CHS is looking to recruit up to 10 members which would be 2 members responsible for each standard.
