Position Purpose
The Application Engineer is the technical expert for SKFs industrial sealing product lines (CR Seals Heavy Industrial Seals Machined Seals Fluid Power Seals) providing high-level technical support to distributors and end users in Mexico. The main objective is to drive sales growth through technical solutions training commercial support and strategic collaboration with internal teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Actively promote SKF sealing products in collaboration with sales and business development.
- Make frequent customer visits (distributors and end users) to understand applications solve problems and generate opportunities.
- Serve as a technical expert in the assigned industry both internally and externally.
- Support the definition of product and sales strategies together with Product Development and Marketing teams.
- Participate in trade shows seminars and Tech Days to build relationships and generate opportunities.
- Provide assistance with installation failure analysis and quality support.
- Collaborate in the development of sales tools technical literature and new product launches.
- Make technical sealing recommendations as part of the application review process.
- Overcome technical and commercial challenges to satisfy the customer.
Profile Requirements
Education and Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in application engineering product development or maintenance.
- High mechanical and technical aptitude.
Skills
- Effective management of time and resources.
- Basic proficiency in office software and CRM.
- Proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
- Strategic thinking and commercial focus.
- Excellent internal and external communication skills.
- Availability to travel to customers and SKF locations.
