As we continue to expand we are seeking a seasoned and motivated Assistant Project Estimator to join our team and play a pivotal role in our ongoing success.
Position Overview: As the Assistant Project Estimator you will analyze all project documents to understand general scope of work. The assistant is to communicate and track interested subcontractors for each bidding project and issue addendums and notes as they are received.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews project plans and specifications
- Manages responses to invitations to bid.
- Subcontractor outreach via phone and email
- Lists projects on plum hub and blue book
- Builds effective relationships subcontractors suppliers and user groups
- Attend subcontractor networking events.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Cold calling sub-contractors with 50 phone calls daily.
- Ability to be a self-starter and also work within a team environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft suite (excel and word specifically) and willing to learn additional computer softwares.
- Possess mathematical and computer skills.
- Possess some knowledge of the construction industry.
- Ability to be a team member and work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate and perform in a highly stressed environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work time commensurate with workload.
- Comfortable sitting for long periods of team throughout the day.
