Description
Researches develops designs and tests a variety of equipment facilities components products and systems for commercial and industrial purposes.
- Designs and develops Single line diagrams Schematics Wiring diagrams
- Develops Short circuit Load Flow and Arc Flash documentation using ETAP SKM or other power system study software
- Prepares Electrical Equipment Specifications Data Sheets Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations for Drives Switchgear Transformers and other electrical equipment / materials as required.
- Conducts technical evaluation evaluate equipment / material suitability and issue clarification of supplier bids - complete technical report to support order placement
- Leads technical discussion meetings with suppliers and clients
- Reviews Vendor Documents
- Responsible for quality control of all deliverables within the scope of the Electrical discipline
- Interfaces with Project Management and Client and liaise with other project disciplines
- Assists in preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals
- Builds internal and external relationships with key suppliers customers and internal & external service providers or contractors
- Works with electrical engineers technologists and designers to provide electrical design and deliverables to a variety of projects
- Prepares electrical designs calculations and bills of material
- Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer
- Develops designs that require innovation and ingenuity
- May provide some technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel.
Qualifications
- BSc MSc or equivalent in Electrical Engineering is required
- 5 years of experience
- NCEES P.E. License is preferred
- Experience with the engineering and design of onshoreoil & gas or energy facilities involving high / medium voltage power supply transformers motor drives switchgear / MCC power distribution electrical panels lighting grounding etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills is required
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word Excel PowerPoint) preferred
