Overview

We are hiring an experienced Corporate Sales Representative who is a native Japanese speaker based in our Tokyo office to manage key accounts drive sales initiatives and build long-term client partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling software and advisory solutions to listed corporates and partners with a preference for experience in governance or sustainability sectors. This role requires a hungry and aggressive sales professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively within a team to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new corporate clients and expand existing accounts in the Japanese market focusing on listed corporates and strategic partners
  • Reach out to C-level executives Investor Relations Officers Sustainability managers Company Secretaries
  • Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting for new business opportunities online product demonstrations territory and pipeline management contract negotiation and closing business
  • Create lead generation campaigns prospect and cold call and respond to marketing leads to build new business
  • Maintain and manage existing client relationships
  • Meet revenue goals by closing new solution memberships and renewing/upgrading current clients
  • Partner with members of the ICS advisory team to deliver excellent service and insights to clients
  • Assist in product development efforts by delivering feedback on market needs and opportunities
  • Provide insight and guidance to the business as to how we can best deploy and position our E&S assets to secure a positive market response.
  • Networking market observation representation of ICS at external conferences

Qualifications

  • Native Japanese speaker with fluency in business-level English.
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate sales and account management with a proven track record of selling software and advisory solutions to listed corporates and partners.
  • Demonstrated hunger and aggressive drive to pursue sales opportunities and close deals.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and/or experience in contract negotiation with large-cap companies.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or other related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in partnership sales preferred with a focus on building and managing strategic alliances.
  • Knowledge of Governance Sustainability and/or IR services is preferred
  • Superior analytical verbal and written skills
  • Assertive personality relationship building skills and natural sales proficiency
  • Collaborative approach to work and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal written and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently or as part of team
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives at prospect firms
