Job Summary
The Skate Shop Attendant reports directly to the Director of Guest Services and is responsible for daily operations of the Madeline Hotel and Residences ice skating rental shop.
Create memorable and highly personalized experiences for our guests residents and local patrons
Operate the rental shop during open hours
Secure liability waivers for every skate shop patron
Keep skates and shop organized and clean at all times
Liaise with support departments such as maintenance and housekeeping as needed
Keep skates in good working condition and sharpened
Open and close shop
Communicate with town regarding ice and weather conditions to adjust opening and closing hours
Operate POS and report daily reporting to supervisor
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications :
Required
Basic computer skills with ability to learn
Strong organizational skills under pressure during busy times
Ability to work a flexible schedule; rental hours will change toward the end of the season due to weather.
Previous customer service experience
Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems preferred
