Role- EPIC MyChart Development SME
Location - Dallas Texas(onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and maintain Epic Client Systems ensuring optimal performance security and reliability.
- MyChart Development: Design develop and customize MyChart web applications to meet organizational and patient needs including patient portal enhancements and user interface improvements.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2/3 support for MyChart-related issues resolving technical problems and ensuring seamless user experiences for patients and providers.
- Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MyChart with other Epic modules and third-party systems ensuring interoperability and data consistency.
- Configuration and Optimization: Configure MyChart features including patient messaging appointment scheduling and telehealth capabilities to align with organizational goals.
- Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and provide guidance to end-users including clinicians and administrative staff on MyChart functionality.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure MyChart and Epic systems comply with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards implementing robust security measures.
- Project Management: Lead or contribute to MyChart-related projects including upgrades new feature rollouts and system enhancements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Healthcare Informatics or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Epic ECSA or similar role.
- Strong expertise in MyChart web development customization and support.
- Proven experience with Epic system administration including configuration maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Epic modules such as Ambulatory Inpatient or Cadence is a plus.
- Certifications:
- Epic ECSA certification required.
- Epic MyChart certification strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in web development technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript) for MyChart customization.
- Experience with Epics Interconnect and Web Services for integration.
- Knowledge of database management (e.g. SQL Cache) and system interoperability standards (e.g. HL7 FHIR).
