Job Title: MongoDB DBA

Location: Austin TX (5x/week On-site) or Sunnyvale CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months

Trilyon is looking for an experienced MongoDB DBA to manage and optimize enterprise MongoDB environments. The MongoDB DBA will configure replica sets sharded clusters and Ops Manager setups implement security standards using X509 and TLS authentication and automate backup restore and monitoring tasks using Python and Shell scripting.

The MongoDB DBA will also handle cluster scaling sharding strategies performance tuning and migration activities to AWS ensuring data availability security and operational excellence.

The MongoDB DBA will document operations provide technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain robust database infrastructure and support business-critical applications.

• Configure MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters based on application requirements.

• Set up Ops Manager and onboard replica sets and sharded clusters for monitoring.

• Implement security enhancements using X509 and TLS authentication to comply with standards.

• Automate backup restore and monitoring jobs using Python and Shell scripting.

• Design install and configure multi-node MongoDB clusters on Linux platforms.

• Add or remove replica and shard nodes in clusters as needed.

• Create text indexes for querying specific documents efficiently.

• Optimize shard keys to ensure even data distribution across shards.

• Convert replica sets to sharded clusters to handle data growth and improve query performance.

• Manage upgrade migrations of replica sets and sharded clusters.

• Deploy migrate monitor analyze and tune MongoDB clusters for optimal performance.

• Maintain Ops Manager knowledge including groups projects authentication and authorization.

• Configure SSL key files to implement security across all MongoDB instances.

• Document MongoDB installations operations security measures and auditing processes.

• Apply performance tuning at host and database levels and manage range-based and hash-based sharding.

• Expertise in MongoDB administration including sharded clusters and replica sets.

• Strong knowledge of Linux environments and multi-node MongoDB deployments.

• Hands-on experience with security configuration using X509 TLS and SSL.

• Experience with Ops Manager backups monitoring and automation scripting (Python/Shell).

• Knowledge of query optimization indexing and cluster migrations to cloud platforms.
