Contract Type: Long-term (12-month initial term with potential for 2 x 12-month extensions)
Security Clearance: NV1 minimum required



About the Role

Join the Army Aviation Command as an Aviation Systems Architect supporting the integration and development of cutting-edge aviation systems within Defences digital and operational frameworks. This role is central to enhancing communications command and control computing intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities.




Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on Army Aviation C4ISR system design implementation and information exchange standards.
  • Support system design testing (verification and validation) certification and compliance with military and civilian standards.
  • Deliver monthly progress reports and updates.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop plans identify risks and resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with Defence personnel and maintain a strong support network across Defence and industry.
  • Apply industry best practices and comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Defence systems integration particularly in aviation and C4ISR domains.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks independently and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Deliverables & Performance Expectations

  • Demonstrate Best for Defence behaviours with a collaborative integrated team approach.
  • Build strong working relationships with Commonwealth and third-party partners.
  • Deliver services on schedule and respond promptly to Commonwealth queries.
  • Manage probity conflicts of interest and security matters in line with contractual requirements.
