Job Summary

Develop and implement AI strategies aligned with WCGs digital transformation goals.
Identify opportunities for AI adoption and define clear actionable AI roadmaps.
Design AI and machine learning models to address complex business problems.
Select suitable algorithms frameworks and tools.
Produce technical architecture diagrams and detailed design documentation.
Collaborate with data architects to ensure data quality availability and governance.
Design and oversee data pipelines for AI model training and deployment.
Oversee the end-to-end AI model lifecycle including development training testing and validation.
Implement best practices for AI model deployment monitoring and maintenance.
Ensure seamless integration of AI systems with existing enterprise platforms.
Design APIs and interfaces for interoperability between AI components and other business systems.
Continuously monitor and optimise AI model performance.
Apply techniques such as hyperparameter tuning and inference acceleration to enhance efficiency.
Ensure AI solutions comply with data privacy security and ethical standards.
Implement safeguards to protect AI systems from vulnerabilities and misuse.
Work closely with data scientists engineers and business stakeholders to ensure successful AI delivery.
Translate complex AI concepts into understandable insights for non-technical audiences.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI ML and cloud technologies.
Evaluate and recommend new tools frameworks and methodologies for adoption.

Requirements

Education: NQF Level 6 or higher tertiary qualification in Information and Communication Technology (Information Systems or related field).
Certifications: Relevant Cloud certification (e.g. Azure AWS or Google Cloud AI).
Experience: Minimum of 6 years experience in a role involving AI architecture solution design or AI product management.
Strong understanding of AI and ML frameworks (TensorFlow PyTorch etc.)
Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (Azure AI AWS AI/ML GCP AI)
Proficiency in data architecture APIs and system integration
Strong analytical strategic planning and communication skills
Familiarity with MLOps DevOps and model governance best practices

Required Skills:

NQF Level 6 or higher tertiary qualification in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Information Systems Computer Science or a related field. Cloud Certification (Azure AWS or Google Cloud preferred) AI/ML-related certifications (e.g. TensorFlow Developer AWS Certified Machine Learning etc.) Minimum years 6 experience in a similar role as an AI Architect AI Product Manager or related AI leadership position. Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale AI solutions. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing AI product lifecycles. Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams. Strong understanding of machine learning deep learning NLP and data science concepts. Proficiency in AI frameworks (TensorFlow PyTorch Scikit-learn) and data processing tools. Expertise in cloud-based AI services and architectures. Familiarity with MLOps data governance and model lifecycle management. Strong system design integration and API management skills.
