The City of Pearsall is currently accepting Applications for the following position:

Job title: Water Meter Technician

Salary: $14.85 per hr/ $29993.60 annually

Hours: 8 am - 5 pm (hours may vary and on-call duties)

Role and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision this position performs mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of water meters and responds to and resolves a variety of customer requests related to water service installations.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent

1-2 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Tasks require the regular and at times sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work.

Some combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders stooping kneeling crouching and crawling.

May involve the lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).

Ability to pass a pre-employment DPS Background check Drug test Physical and Lumbar X-ray.
