Flynn Elementary School in the Burlington School District seeks a reliable lunch/recess monitor who enjoys working with children whilemaintaining a safe school climate. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Flynn school community and may already be working part-time in the district.
Duties
- Establish positive relationships with all students equally.
- Teach and reinforce cafeteria rules.
- Carry out the Champ Card positive reinforcement system.
- Collaborate and communicate with other lunch monitors teachers and administration.
Work Hours
This is a school-year position that begins August 27th 2025.
Hours are 11:30am - 1:00pm on every school day. May vary depending on school schedule.
Working Conditions:
These are the physical and mental/reasoning requirements of the position as it is typically performed. The inability to meet one or more of these physical or mental/reasoning requirements will not automatically disqualify a candidate or employee from the position.
Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs.; pushing/pulling objects
Standing sitting climbing stooping kneeling crawling balancing
Possible exposure to heat cold noise dust fumes or hazardous materials
Work at heights or around electrical/mechanical equipment
- Basic sense of touch smell and taste
- Works independently and collaboratively with regular face-to-face interaction
