Elmsett C of E Primary School is looking to appoint an EYFS and KS1 Class Teacher (Currently Years Reception 1 and 2).
You will:
be an inspirational classroom practitioner with evidence of excellent classroom practice
have high expectations of all pupils both socially and academically and a strong commitment to raising standards
place a strong emphasis on creativity and ensure pupils enjoy their learning
have excellent knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculums
show commitment to the wider life of the school
be able to lead subjects across the school.
Your responsibilities:
plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes following the schools plans curriculum and schemes of work
assess monitor record and report on the learning needs progress and achievements of assigned pupils making accurate and productive use of assessment
adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
set high expectations which inspire motivate and challenge pupils
promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests
you will be required to lead subjects which can be negotiated.
You will need:
Qualified Teacher Status
a degree
successful evidenced primary teaching experience
relevant professional qualifications (Specialist teacher qualifications etc.)
Elmsett C of E Primary is a small rural church school in the heart of the Suffolk countryside not far from Hadleigh. We are part of the Diocesan MAT and currently have 45 children on roll in 3 classes. We encourage the development of the whole child with many extra-curricular activities. Elmsett school have an excellent PTA and supportive governors. We are a Good school (Ofsted September 24) and have a Good SIAMS rating (February 18).
