Job Summary
Afognak Diversified Services Inc a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation has an opportunity for a Site Supervisor in Miami FL. The Sites Supervisor is responsible to oversee the security fire & reception operations of the Airbus Americas facilities assigned to them. The supervisor shall be familiar with all Policies Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Post Orders and must ensure the Security Officers reporting to them understand and follow these guidelines. The Off-Sites Supervisor is the first-line of supervision to the employees reporting to him/her and is responsible to ensure ADS provides the highest quality standard(s) of Security Fire and Reception services is provided to the customer.
The supervisor shall provide guidance and oversight of the security officers which include numerous security duties across the security spectrum that include but are not limited to: Access Control; Roving Patrols; Traffic Control; Key Management; Fire Systems; Building Rules and Regulations; Unauthorized Access; Response to Injury/Illnesses; Flying the US Flag and other additional duties as required by contract. The Supervisor shall maintain all required licenses qualifications and certifications to include but not limited to Firearms Monadnock Expandable Baton (MEB) Defensive Tactics & Handcuffing and First Aid & CPR/AED.
- Supervises day-to-day activities of all Protective Security Officers on assigned shift.
- Ensures all training and required licensing for position is completed.
- Interview and hire all new officers assigned to their work site.
- Appraises rewards and disciplines all employees
- Reviews paperwork generated during shift for accuracy and completeness and corrects any discrepancies.
- Monitors and approves payroll of all employees assigned to them.
- Ensures quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and
- their job performance when assigned to his/her shift.
Payrate:$31.00 to $32.00 hourly
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Mustpossess an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the law enforcement security management or related fields.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in dispatching and or security support services of five plus (5) may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation.
- Must speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications.
- Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications.
- Must be able to work various shifts to include weekend and Holidays.
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam.
- Ability to write legibly using proper grammar and spelling.
- Ability to acquire a knowledge of contracted site locations
- Applicant must possess all required state Security Officer Licenses.
- Ability to acquire the knowledge necessary to operate base radio and computer terminal equipment.
- Ability to perform routine clerical work.
- Ability to follow moderately complex oral instructions.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under heavy workload and emergency situations.
- Ability to speak with a clear well-modulated and pleasant voice and to use good grammatical construction in choice of words.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client public safety employees and the public.
