Were currently on the lookout for someone who brings leadership energy teamwork and a love of great food & drinks to the table.
The Role
As Lead Barista & Assistant Manager you will be a key part of our leadership teamworking the floor supporting baristas managing service flow and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Youll also assist in back-of-house operations including inventory scheduling and staff training.
Responsibilities
Barista Leadership:
- Lead by example on bardialing in espresso preparing high-quality drinks and upholding coffee standards
- Support and train baristas ensuring consistency and efficiency in service
- Manage daily opening/closing procedures
- Manage coffee equipment maintenance & repair
- Order coffee and work with our local roastery to curate blends & uphold standards
Assistant Management:
- Assist in staff scheduling ordering and inventory tracking
- Maintain a clean organized and well-stocked café environment
- Ensure health safety and cleanliness standards are always met
- Act as a shift lead and point of contact when GM or owner is not present
- Contribute to team culture by encouraging communication accountability and growth
Qualifications
- 2 years barista experience in a fast-paced specialty coffee setting
- Leadership experience in a café or hospitality setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Interest or experience in wine is a plus! (Well happily train the right candidate)
- Passion for great food drinks and hospitality
