Position Details
The Department of History Geography and Legal Studies in the College of Social Sciences Mathematics and Education at the University of Tampa invites applications for a one-semester Visiting Assistant Professor of History position for Spring 2026. The teaching load is 16 credits (4 courses) most likely involving 3 different preps. The successful candidate will have demonstrated competency to teach HIS 212 Witchcraft and Magic in the Early Modern Atlantic World; HIS 122 The United States to 1877; and UTHIS 208 Wars and Revolutions in the Modern World. Willingness to craft syllabi assignments and pedagogy to serve specific (but flexible) student learning outcomes is a necessity.
