Role Summary
A Lagos based Oil & Gas EPC company is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support its procurement team in sourcing materials equipment and services (both locally and internationally) for projects.
This role manages the full procurement cycle identifying vendors negotiating terms issuing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery including coordination of imports. The specialist must have a solid understanding of international procurement logistics including Incoterms customs clearance and freight forwarding to efficiently manage material movement from global suppliers to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement plans in line with project schedules and budgets.
Source and qualify suppliers both locally and abroad; negotiate pricing and contract terms to achieve cost-effective timely procurement.
Prepare purchase requisitions purchase orders and contracts; obtain internal approvals before issuing orders.
Track and expedite purchase orders coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers to manage import processes (customs documentation duties and delivery to site).
Ensure quality and compliance of procured goods; collaborate with QA/QC teams to resolve any material or delivery issues.
Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier performance data; report on savings and procurement KPIs.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business or Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years procurement or purchasing experience preferably within an Oil & Gas or EPC environment.
Familiarity with international supply chains shipping logistics and customs clearance.
Strong negotiation analytical and contract management skills.
Proficient in procurement systems and MS Office.
Excellent communication and vendor management abilities.
Lagos-based with flexibility to travel for supplier and site visits as needed.
