We are currently seeking a skilled Locum Gynecologic Oncology and Surgical Oncology Physician this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality medical care to patients with gynecologic and surgical oncology needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in assisting physicians performing procedures and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians in evaluating and treating patients with gynecologic and surgical oncology conditions.
- Perform clinical procedures such as biopsies wound care and suture removal under physician supervision.
- Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments arranging diagnostic tests and providing patient education.
- Document patient information treatment plans and progress notes accurately in medical records.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards protocols and safety measures in patient care.
- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms sterilizing equipment and providing surgical support.
- Monitor post-operative patients manage complications and provide follow-up care as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field.
- Valid state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Prior experience in gynecologic oncology and surgical oncology settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of oncology treatments medications and patient care protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients families and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated compassion empathy and professionalism in patient interactions.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical documentation.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts 4 days per week
Primary Responsibilities: Surgical assist inpatient rounding post-op
Surgical assist with genecology including robotics experience is required
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
