Laboratory Responsibilities
- Performs benchtop testing of large molecules using HPLC and UPLC assays
- Maintains laboratory supplies media and reagents inventory.
- Adheres to good documentation practices (GDP) for all paper and electronic documentation.
- Collects and processes all raw data about executed assays.
- Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample management and documentation of test results.
- Performs peer review of procedural execution and processed data
- Works with data reviewers and authorizers to complete any needed corrections or retesting.
- Use of GDP to record activities in logbooks laboratory notebooks and electronic systems
- Laboratory safety and compliance walkthroughs with documentation of any observations
- Completion of all safety and procedural trainings and re-training.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Personnel management and development.
- Manages and coordinates the teams workload.
- Management of the cross-training and the capacity of the team
- Monitors and reports all productivity and quality metrics.
- Proactive and effective communication with client and customer teams
- Completes routine laboratory safety walkthroughs and employee compliance checks.
- Participate in the hiring process and onboarding/training of new hires.
- Delivers training for new hires and other employees in the department.
- Participates in overtime and weekend scheduling as required.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry Life Sciences Engineering or other science related degree concentration or equivalent directly-related experience
- 2 years of cGMP experience
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Experience using and troubleshooting HPLC/UPLC instrumentation.
- Experience with processing quantitative liquid chromatography data
- Experience using an electronic sample and data management system (LIMS)
- Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
