The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources department in the daily administration of HR operations.
He/she assists in employee documentation payroll support handling staff queries and ensuring compliance with company HR policies and procedures.
The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
1. HR Administration & Documentation
Assist in the preparation and follow-up of employment contracts offer letters and staff files.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (physical and digital).
Support in tracking leave attendance and probation periods.
2. Employee Relations & Support
Respond to employee queries related to HR policies benefits and general administrative matters.
Support onboarding and induction of new hires.
Maintain good communication between HR and employees.
3. Payroll Support
Assist the HR & Payroll Manager in collecting attendance data and verifying information for monthly payroll.
Help in preparing payroll summaries and resolving basic salary-related issues.
4. HR Operations & Reporting
Provide administrative support in recruitment processes (posting jobs scheduling interviews etc.).
Support in the organization of staff meetings training sessions or HR events.
Contribute to maintaining a positive and compliant work environment.
Education & Experience
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management Administration or related field.
1–2 years of experience in HR administration office support or payroll assistance (an asset but not mandatory).
Skills & Competencies
Fully bilingual – Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
Good understanding of HR processes and administrative procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).
Strong sense of organization confidentiality and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Must reside in Yaoundé.
Immediate availability preferred.
