About the Role:
As our Senior Director R&D On Market Support youll be at the forefront of ensuring our diagnostics solutions not only stay at the cutting edge but continuously deliver value and reliability for patients and customers worldwide. Based at our vibrant San Diego site youll lead a dynamic team collaborating with cross-functional partners to shape and execute product lifecycle strategies that set industry standards.
What Youll Do:
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with marketing operations quality regulatory and commercial teams to define and execute product lifecycle roadmaps that exceed customer expectations and meet business goals.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all on-market support activitiestroubleshooting sustaining engineering product enhancements and lifecycle managementensuring our diagnostics portfolio remains best-in-class.
- Team Empowerment: Build mentor and inspire a high-performing team committed to collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.
- Innovation & Improvement: Champion process improvements drive root cause analysis and lead change management efforts to deliver timely effective product enhancements.
- Customer & Patient Focus: Serve as a key escalation point for complex product issues ensuring rapid resolution and clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Compliance & Quality: Uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance documentation and validationalways putting patient safety and customer satisfaction first.
What You Bring:
- 10 years experience in R&D product development or sustaining engineering (with at least 5 years in senior leadership) ideally in diagnostics medical devices or life sciences.
- Deep technical expertise in molecular biology testing laboratory practices (CLIA CAP) and regulatory environments (FDA ISO CE Mark).
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced matrixed organization.
- Exceptional communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for operational excellence innovation and building inclusive collaborative teams.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Life Sciences or related field (advanced degree preferred).
