At Kraken were looking to revolutionise the energy system to make power cheaper greener and better for people around the world. Our tech platform is already licensed to support 60 million customer accounts in 17 countries and we aim to serve 100 million globally by 2027.

Our technology team has grown extremely quickly as a result. With this rapid growth we are looking for Product Managers to join our team and work with our developers to ensure what they do has the highest impact for our customers.

Were looking for a proactive and driven Product Manager to join our Developer Foundations team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most experienced engineers at Kraken to tackle problems that are truly platform-wide. Youll need to be a self-starter: someone who sees a problem and cant help but want to fix it! Youll be well organised working methodically and clearly to ensure projects go from inception to completion. We put the customer first wherever we are in the business and work empathetically with one another to deliver the best possible outcomes

The role

Youll work in the Developer Foundations team building products and tooling to improve the software engineering standards and the developer experience at Kraken ensuring that we can deliver fast and with confidence for our clients. Youll identify the most pressing problems to solve while ensuring focus aligns with our company goals.
The domain for which the team is responsible includes deployment pipelines application architecture internal tooling documentation testing security and training.
This is a high impact high profile role for someone who wants to make a marked difference to the internal developer experience at Kraken ensuring their needs are recognised and making their experience of working here even better while enabling the platform to scale.

What youll do

    • Work closely with (mostly) technical stakeholders across the business and carry out user research to define the product strategy and ensure it aligns with business objectives and evolving needs across different markets
    • Build strong relationships with the Product and Engineering leaders across Kraken using your influence to drive adoption of tools youve built
    • Identify and own ways to measure the success of your domain use these to effectively communicate the value of your teams delivery to the wider company.
    • Work with the development team to shape the high-level roadmap and prioritise feature development across the platform
    • Enable delivery of the roadmap by providing continued clarity around prioritisation and ensuring that implementation has the best impact for our users
    • Coordinate across product teams to proactively manage dependencies and drive cross team collaboration to deliver outcomes
    • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
    • Continue to embed product practice across Developer Foundations and the broader Platform teams

What youll need

    • To be able to recognise what needs to be done (and just as importantly what doesnt need to be done right now) based on the overall goals of the team and our strategic direction
    • To have a basic understanding of and an interest in technical concepts such as deployment pipelines testing methodologies and databases
    • To be able to work in a dynamic environment. Fantastic ideas come from everywhere in Kraken Technologies so youll need to be able to spot and harness them. Experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up would be a plus
    • To be curious and willing to roll up your sleeves
    • To have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with people with varying levels of technical knowledge.
