About the Raytheon Fellowship Program:

• Seeking students in their sophomore or junior year or seniors if pursuing a masters.
• Upon program acceptance participants will be submitted for a national security clearance.
• Participants may be eligible to receive a $10000 signing bonus and an additional $10000 signing bonus upon converting to full-time employee status post-graduation (payable within 60 days of employment and subject to all applicable withholdings).
• Participants will sign an offer agreement committing to remain with Raytheon for a minimum of two years after becoming a full-time employee.

What You Will Do:

• Work as a software developer and integrator as part of a development team which utilizes a diverse dynamic workforce including many experts in their fields. Specific duties include:
• Responsible for performing development integration test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms
• Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources integrate and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization
• Develop software as necessary to integrate between components perform new capabilities to facilitate testing etc.
• Adhere to accepted standards for development including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code overage participating in code peer reviews conducting design reviews and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code

Qualifications You Must Have:

• This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelors (or higher) degree program in Computer Science Computer Engineering Software Engineering or related field and will be at minimum Sophomore Junior Senior or Post Grad year by summer 2026.

• Software development experience with Java in a Unix/Linux environment
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and familiarity with a Javascript framework such as AngularJS or VueJS
• Familiarity with version control software such as GIT
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Maven
• Experienceor familiarity with Agile development practices

Clearance Information:

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
