Associate Mechanical Engineer Commercial & Retail Sector

Full-Time Senior Position
SearchLabs is working on behalf of one of our key business partners in pursuit of top engineering professionals to expand their growing team. Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join and strengthen their Commercial & Retail sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to take on greater responsibility in technical delivery project leadership and client management while building a pathway toward senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and coordination of mechanical building services systems (HVAC plumbing fire protection energy efficiency) for commercial and retail projects.
- Manage project teams and ensure deliverables meet technical quality and sustainability standards.
- Support business development through client interaction proposal support and relationship management.
- Mentor junior engineers review designs and promote best practices across projects.
- Collaborate with architects contractors and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer; Professional registration.
- 6 years experience in consulting engineering preferably in commercial & retail projects.
- Proven ability to lead project delivery and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building systems and relevant codes.
- Good commercial awareness and communication skills.
- Interest in business development and client relationship management.
