Blink is looking to bring on a contract researcher to join a new rolling research project kicking off in NY. The contract is currently set for 3 months with the potential to extend. This researcher will be working closely with our clients research team Blinks research leadership and the project manager to execute a series of research sessions that focus on usability testing concept testing rolling research and rapid analysis.
Work will be based out of our clients NYC lab 3 days/week every other week. Researchers will need to be available 40 hours a week for the next three months.
What you will be doing:
- Moderating and planning usability lab studies.
- Analyzing research findings and helping to prepare high-impact reports and presentations for clients.
- Delivering findings that ensure the usability and usefulness of interfaces for our clients end-users.
- Partnering with the Project Manager and Project Leadership to ensure successful study execution.
- Advocating for users while understanding the business goals of clients.
What we are looking for:
- Formal education in a relevant field such as usability engineering human-centered design cognitive psychology or equivalent hands-on experience to demonstrate an understanding of usability theory methods and practices.
- 5 years of experience designing and conducting a wide range of UX research a particular focus on rolling/rapid research programs.
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
- Experience working directly with clients in a consulting role including leading client meetings.
- Proven ability to communicate recommended design solutions for observed UX issues.
- A high comfort level with computer hardware and software.
- Ability to work on-site in-lab at our clients NYC location.
- A working knowledge of technology constraints and capabilities.
- Direct experience with user-centered design projects.
