The Opportunity:

Were looking for someone who knows how to build trust spark connection and help us show up with purpose. This is a full-time 12-month parental leave cover based in East Perth and its a chance to step into a role that sits right at the heart of how The Perth Mint engages with government and community.

With a local national and international lens youll be the person behind the scenes making sure our relationships with elected officials departments and agencies are strong respectful and well informed. One day you might be preparing a briefing for a Minister the next youre helping our Executive team navigate complex issues preparing government submissions or hosting foreign diplomats.

This role is about more than just process. Its about people.

Youll help us stay connected to the world around us understand whats changing and respond with clarity and care. If youre someone who enjoys working across teams thrives on thoughtful communication and wants to make a real impact during a key moment in someone elses journey wed love to have you with us.

About You:

Youre someone who understands how government works - not just the formalities but the relationships that make it tick. Youve spent time in State or Federal government or in a role where engaging with elected officials was part of your everyday. You know how to write clearly speak with confidence and offer advice that helps people make smart informed decisions.

Youve got a degree in something like Public Policy Politics Journalism or PR and youre a strategic thinker who knows how to turn insight into action. Youre comfortable preparing submissions briefing notes and correspondence that hit the mark and youre just as confident collaborating across teams to get the details right.

Youre curious calm and deeply committed to doing things properly. You keep your ear to the ground spot opportunities early and help others stay informed and prepared. You care about people about how we communicate how we show up and how we build trust over time.
