3 months contract with local authority
This role is based at our main offices in either Farringdon or Croydon with the flexibility of hybrid working as agreed with your manager. The position involves managing a caseload of litigation cases and providing advice on housing management issues. Travel between offices including occasional visits to Isle of Wight Maidstone or Sittingbourne may be required. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient litigation and housing management services in alignment with our HEART values.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of litigation cases and provide advice on housing management matters including disrepair injunctions possession and leasehold disputes.
- Adhere to established processes and procedures to deliver effective litigation and housing management services.
- Liaise with colleagues across the organization and with residents legal advisers.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including colleagues resident solicitors and external partners.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all activities.
- Provide cover for absent team members and offer guidance to junior team members.
- Optionally pursue a development pathway to advance your legal career with us.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Qualified as a CILEX Lawyer Solicitor or Barrister with a practicing certificate.
- Experience in litigation and housing management particularly in social housing or public sector bodies.
- Experience handling litigation matters including housing management issues.
- Commitment to delivering excellent service as part of the Legal Services Team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook with the ability to work within a case management system.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills capable of presenting information to a high standard.

Requirements: Admitted to the SRA or FCilex Proven experience as a practicing lawyer Strong analytical and research skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and in a team Sound knowledge of legal procedures and regulations
