Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join a well-established and growing construction and engineering team in Edison NJ. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in electrical system design for commercial industrial and institutional projects along with hands-on proficiency in Revit for BIM modeling and coordination.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working on complex large-scale projects and collaborating closely with project managers architects and other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

Design electrical power lighting and fire alarm systems for commercial industrial educational and healthcare projects.
Develop detailed electrical drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
Coordinate with architects mechanical engineers structural engineers and contractors to ensure accurate and efficient design integration.
Perform load calculations panel schedules short-circuit and voltage drop analyses and equipment sizing.
Review and interpret project plans codes and client requirements to ensure compliance with NEC and other applicable standards.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and clash detection processes to resolve issues before construction.
Assist in preparing bid documents cost estimates and project schedules.
Support field teams with design clarifications submittal reviews and construction administration tasks.
Maintain organized project files and documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Stay current on emerging technologies codes and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
25 years of experience in electrical design for construction or engineering projects.
Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable building codes.
Experience designing systems for commercial institutional or industrial facilities.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce clean coordinated design drawings.
Strong communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration.
EIT certification preferred; PE license or progress toward licensure a plus.
