Job Description:

As the Senior Specialist Systems Integration Engineer in Ashburn you will be responsible for providing guidance to other employees and as an individual contributor executing hardware and software system integration system characterization and troubleshooting and verification and validation of complex systems.

The Agile Development Group (ADG) specializes in developing disruptive next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV) advanced radar systems next-generation weapon systems and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Essential Functions:

Leading a team to identify and complete assigned program tasking; identifying and removing teams impediments; and managing up.
Manages team and individually contributes to hands-on system integration and testing activities for a complex hardware/software system.

Perform design verification testing efforts including lab chamber ground and flight test.
Assess troubleshoot and develop mitigation strategies for complex system issues.
Fabricate parts tools.
Rapidly learn and contribute during design-develop-build-integrationtest-verificationvalidation cycles.

Collaborates across fast-paced multidisciplinary (mechanical electrical specialty engineering) team.
Guides team and/or as an individual contributor develops and runs simulations and other analysis tools to predict system performance in various environments.

Analyze data from design verification test efforts.
Track and present technical performance results.

Delegates or authors test plan/procedures non-conformance reports requirements and other system engineering CDRLs.
Explains interprets and gains cooperation on policies procedures and practices.
Contributes to trade studies.
Uses Agile PLM Sunflower Windchill.
Participates in proposal activities both cost and technical.
Ability to maintain DoD security clearances as required.
Ability to lift to 20 lbs.
Up to 10% travel may be required.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience in unmanned aircraft or guided weapon systems.
System level experience in which the applicant has been involved in the design and integration of complex hardware/software systems the definition of multiple interfaces and been involved in the trades of multiple solution options.
Hands-on system integration experience cross-discipline engineering verification and validation testing and system performance characterization.
Experience with and an understanding of aerospace systems especially in the development of integrated hardware/software products.
Experience integrating typical payloads like sensors or communications into air vehicles.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering.
Experience with MATLAB LabView Python or C/C/C#.
Experience in Control Account Management as part of an Earned Value Management System.
Experience with proposal development including generating basis of estimates.
Experience in development of use cases and requirements developed from customer objectives and concepts of operations.
Excellent people skills with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary diverse and dynamic team environment.
Excellent communication skills (written verbal & presentation).
Experience using Microsoft Office products.
