About the Position:
TheCity of San Bernardino is looking for a Senior Human Resources Technician to join our Recruitment team. The Senior Human Resources Technician performs a variety of highly responsible and complex paraprofessional and administrative duties in support of the Citys Human Resources Department. While the primary focus of this position will be on recruitment and selection activities the incumbent may also be asked to assist the Benefits team with related tasks and cross-functional projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will be task-oriented able to work efficiently in a high-volume environment and demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Flexibility and a willingness to assist across HR functions including Benefits when needed are essential to this role.
People Skills: Demonstrates a welcoming professional and compassionate demeanor fostering positive interactions with others.
Communication Skills:Strong oral and written communication with excellent interpersonal abilities.
Technology Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) with the ability to leverage technology for efficient task management.
HR Information Systems (HRIS): Experienced with HR software including NEOGOV and adept at utilizing systems to streamline HR processes.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Expertise in screening interviewing and selecting top-tier candidates for a wide range of positions ensuring the right fit for the organization.
Education and Experience:
Possession of an Associates Degree from an accredited college in Business Management Psychology or a related field.
AND
Two (2) years of technical or administrative human resources experience; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
Licenses Certifications and Equipment:
A valid State drivers license is required.
