Summary: The dimensional and visual inspection and testing of incoming components and related materials used in the manufacturing machining metal finishing or assembling of products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform complex inspection activities to assess conformance of products to the design or specification as defined by the engineering drawings specification or shop order.
- Inspect materials components and other items to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Perform material movement transactions after completing inspection process.
- Create non-conformance reports for product that does not meet requirements.
- Ability to recognize problems/defects and providing feedback to production quality and accounting.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 20 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications :
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minnimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
