Head of Technology & Optimization

We are partnering with a well-established international financial institution to recruit a Head of Technology & Optimization for their strategic operations in Warsaw. As Head of Technology & Optimization you will lead the local technology strategy systems development and service delivery across multiple business lines. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation optimize offshore operations and collaborate with global stakeholders to deliver measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and executing the local technology roadmap in alignment with global objectives.
• Driving adoption of modern technologies to enhance efficiency scalability and security.
• Overseeing delivery of technology services across trading settlement risk and investment banking operations.
• Leading operational optimization initiatives including automation and digitization.
• Establishing KPIs to measure efficiency and effectiveness of offshore services.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks.
• Building and developing a high-performing team of engineers analysts and optimization specialists.
• Acting as a local ambassador for the Warsaw site supporting branding efforts and industry engagement.
• Collaborating with global leadership to ensure alignment and consistency across locations.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• A bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Finance or a related field.
• At least 12 years of experience in technology leadership roles within financial services.
• Proven success in leading offshore or nearshore technology teams.
• Strong understanding of capital markets systems and trading platforms.
• Expertise in process optimization automation and digital transformation.
• Excellent leadership stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is essential; Polish language skills are a plus.
