A high impact and strategic opportunity as an Executive Manager- Buying has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent opportunity.
In this pivotal role you will join a department that is at the heart of what makes ALDI unique: our products. Leading a team of two Buying Assistants you will be involved in the journey of our iconic hard goods special buys products from conception to our store shelves.
You will be a resilient and a solutions-focused self-starter who exhibits initiative with an ability to build rapport with internal international and external stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
What does the role involve
- Lead a team and actively support their skill enhancement and career growth.
- Oversee the end-to-end product tender process managing key project milestones on the critical path handling new product development and maintaining the product catalogue.
- Weekly cost and supply negotiations with business partners.
- Management of the product tender process critical path administration catalogue etc.
- Support the Buying Director as required with the negotiation of fixed tender costs recommendation on product selection specifications market and competitor analysis reporting and relevant price recommendations.
- Operational execution of category strategy and enabling strong long-term business partner relationships.
