We are looking for a Shipping Clerk to join the team at our Norridge IL location. Are you looking for a great place to work with an amazing culture and opportunities to advance within your position AND make more money Then keep reading!The Norridge location of NSI is a progressive manufacturer of die castings that has been in business for 50 years and we look forward to having you join our team!Please note this is a full-time 1st shift position (7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday).

Responsibilities:
Accountable for preparing incoming and outgoing all shipping and receiving activities including documents.

Perform visual inspection of all shipments (broken pallets damaged boxes) and report findings
Report damaged boxes caused by forklifts dropped boxes from warehouse shelving and wet or contaminated
product caused by weather conditions (roof leaks rain snow etc.)
Verify calibration due date on all measuring equipment when applicable and report expired items to quality
department
Assist in processing shipments per shipping schedule
Verify shipping notices packing slips orders and other documents to determine priorities
Prepare outbound and inbound shipments by following the process for shipping and receiving parts that are sent
for outside processing
Perform weekly inventory checks make any necessary inventory adjustments in the system and report any
errors to supervisor and/or manager
Report shortages to supervisor and/or manager
Stretch wrap and label/tag material when applicable
Package material according to routing sheet packaging work instructions and shipping instructions
Scale parts and report any issues with equipment or process
Complete documentation and report any issues with scrap quantity and rate per hour

Salary: $18.00-$22.00/hr.
