About the Role:
Join Ventias Defence Base Services team and play a vital role supporting the Australian Defence Force at live training ranges in Western Australia. As a Range Operator youll work alongside Defence personnel ensuring the safe and effective operation of training areas and exclusion zones during live fire and other activities.
Key Details:
Location: Range Defence Training Facility WA
Hours: 38 hours per week with overtime available (rostered MondaySunday based on Defence training schedules)
Pay: $33.43 per hour superannuation overtime

Key Responsibilities:
Position and monitor Red Flags/Red Lights in line with Range Standing Orders
Prepare ranges and support range users and customers
Undertake land management tasks: grass cutting tree removal weed spraying GIS mapping
Provide first response bushfire support within your qualifications and safety limits
Perform estate upkeep: fence and gate repairs general maintenance
Manufacture and repair targets as required
What Youll Need:
Current Drivers Licence (required)
Respond to Wildfire (desirable)
HR Truck Licence (desirable)
Experience in range operations or land management (desirable)
