About the role

We are seeking a Team Leader Transmission Lines Construction to join our growing National Project Delivery team.

In this role you will lead and mentor a crew of Transmission Lines Workers to deliver a wide range of construction and maintenance projects across South Australia and interstate. These projects include:

• Conductor replacements and removals
• Insulator and hardware upgrades
• Tower and pole repairs and installations
• New line builds (stringing tower installations pole setups)
• Live line and bare hand works
• Support for substation and renewable generation projects

As a Team Leader you will:

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of your crew on-site
• Drive safety quality and efficiency across all project tasks
• Mentor and develop team members to build capability
• Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
• Ensure compliance with standards regulations and company procedures

This position is based at Direk SA with frequent travel to project sites across the SA and interstate. Typical rosters are 10 days on / 4 days off working 11-hour days with generous overtime (double time) and living away from home allowances. Flexibility to work varying rosters is required.


About you

You are a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and the ability to guide crews in complex high-voltage environments.

You will bring:

• Cert III in ESI Transmission Overhead
• Extensive experience in Transmission Lines construction projects
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
• Current SA Electrical Workers Licence (or eligibility under mutual recognition)
• Current SA Drivers Licence
