We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Accounting Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in core accounting functions and process improvement initiatives. The intern will contribute to month-end close activities assist with reconciliations and data validation and support a project focused on automating existing accounting processes. This role provides valuable exposure to corporate accounting operations and supports talent development for future recruitment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations

Perform data validation and support documentation for audit and compliance

Participate in process improvement initiatives including automation of routine accounting tasks

Collaborate with accounting team members to identify efficiency opportunities

Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests

Document procedures and contribute to knowledge-sharing efforts

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Basic understanding of accounting principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Professional communication and problem-solving skills

Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field and completion of at least two years of college coursework

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Workday)

Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Alteryx MS Copilot)

Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance

Coursework in financial reporting auditing or data analytics

Liberty Lake WA: hourly compensation state minimum up to $44.23 per hour.
