Job Summary

cFocus Software seeks a Systems Programmer to join our program supporting the Navy. This position is remote. This position requires active Secret clearance.
Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Business Administration or other related discipline is preferred.
4 years of professional experience in relational databases and operating as a Database Administrator (DBA). Experience in relational Database Management Systems (DBMS) design schema design database hardware and software design query languages and performance tuning of database systems. Programming proficiency (e.g. Python R SQL Java Scala C Tableau).

Duties:

Design develop and maintain system-level software and utilities to support organizational and mission requirements.
Analyze system specifications and translate requirements into efficient maintainable code.
Perform debugging testing and performance tuning of system software to ensure reliability and effectiveness.
Support integration of system software with hardware networks and applications in compliance with the PWS.
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and automation of processes.
Apply security patches upgrades and modifications to system software in alignment with cybersecurity standards.
Collaborate with systems engineers administrators and analysts to resolve complex software and system issues.
Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications procedures and source code repositories.
Support migration and modernization initiatives for legacy systems to current technologies.
Conduct root cause analysis and provide technical solutions for system software defects and vulnerabilities.
Participate in risk assessments continuity of operations planning and disaster recovery activities related to system software.
Ensure compliance with federal defense and organizational policies governing system software development and maintenance.
Provide training mentorship and technical guidance to junior programmers and system staff.
Stay current with emerging programming languages tools and methodologies to enhance system software capabilities.
