About the Role
You will lead creative and challenging lessons in English and Literature across multiple year groups supporting a department known for its academic ambition and breadth of curriculum. Teachers work in well-equipped classrooms and have direct access to a well-stocked central library with both classic and contemporary titles. Colleagues often run literary societies creative writing workshops and cross-curricular projects with Drama History and Media Studies youll have the chance to be part of those.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for English & Literature
- Can teach GCSE and/or A-Level (or is keen to grow into that)
- Is a creative reflective practitioner with high expectations of student progress
- Has the legal right to work in the UK
