Job Summary
Material Handler
Job Responsibilities:
- Efficiently handle and move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments following safety protocols to ensure no damage to products.
- Sort and organize inventory in designated areas to maximize efficiency.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
- Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and proper use of equipment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred but not required.
- Experience with forklifts pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems is advantageous
