Division Information
Kenworth Truck Company builds premium commercial vehicles for sale in the US Canada Mexico and Australia and for export throughout the world. Peterbilt Motors also designs manufactures and distributes premium commercial vehicles in the US and Canada. DAF Trucks manufactures trucks in the Netherlands Belgium and the United Kingdom for sale throughout Western and Eastern Europe and export to Asia Africa and North America.

Requisition Summary
The Unit Manager will supervise employees and provide leadership to attain plant and Material Handling objectives.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
The successful candidate should possess the ability to:

- Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills and an understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Effectively interact with employees peers and all levels of management.
Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a fast paced production environment.
- Application of problem solving tools such as fish bone 5 why root cause pareto diagrams.
- Ability to lead by example and drive key metrics in safety on-time delivery shortage reduction cost.
- Knowledge and experience in lean material flow to a production line.
- Engage in effective communication and organizational skills.
- Completion of; or currently engaged in a four year college degree in business or related field.
- Three years of previous supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
- Experience with Supply Chain and Logistics tools and techniques and understanding of how the parts work together as a system.
- Understanding of general materials metrics materials flow and inventory measures.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $77700 - $106900 annually. Additionally this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
