Duties & Responsibilities
Our client a leading meat wholesale supplier based in Montague Gardens is looking for a Group Financial Manager to join their Team.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Ability to use financial software and accounting systems to manage financial data and transactions
- Prepare and review financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Manage the general ledger chart of accounts and accounting software to accurately record and track financial transactions
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Conduct financial analysis variance analysis and account reconciliations
- Oversee and review financial transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Leveraging Culture & Diversity - Ability to lead a high impact team and collaborate with different stakeholders
- Digital Transformation - Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting tasks
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operation within the company.
- Contact outside services for tax preparation auditing banking investments and other financial needs as necessary.
- Review financial data and prepare weekly monthly and annual reports.
- Present financial reports to board members stakeholders and executives in formal meetings.
- Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software.
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
REQUIREMENTS
- SAIPA or CIMA qualification with articles completed
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in a similar environment
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles IFRS financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in using financial software and accounting systems
- The incumbent would need to have the ability to progress and add continuous incremental value having impact.
- Dealing with complexity
- Sound pragmatic judgement
- Self-awareness
- Achievement orientation
