Wilkes University invites applicants for a TRIO Director of the Upward Bound Program in the Department of Office of Academic Success. This is a full-time 12-month administrative staff position reporting to the Executive Director. The successful candidate is responsible for leading designing implementing administering and managing all activities of the Upward Bound Program to successfully and consistently ensure achievement of its goal of low-income first-generation students attaining a college degree. The director ensures
compliance with the U.S. Department of Education regulations and university policies manages all aspects of program and is responsible for strategic planning staff supervision budget/fiscal management and student services through the program delivery.
A Masters degree is required in Education Social Services Counseling or a related field. The ideal candidate will have four or more years prior experience in educational leadership/educational programming (including design implementation and management) working with low-income and first-generation students and their families. Experience with demonstrated supervisory experience and fiscal/budgetary management is required.
