Job Summary
Were looking for a highly skilled and proactive Purchasing Specialist to take a role in our procurement function. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic purchasing plans managing key supplier relationships and ensuring our procurement processes support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Planning: Develop and execute strategic purchasing plans for assigned categories to secure the best total cost of ownership quality and delivery performance.
Supplier Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key vendors evaluating and qualifying new suppliers while strengthening relationships with existing ones. Youll lead business negotiations and conduct regular performance reviews.
Contract & Risk Management: Craft and negotiate favorable contracts pricing and terms. You will also proactively manage and mitigate risks associated with supply contracts and agreements.
Cost & Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth cost analyses and monitor market trends to forecast price changes and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering production quality and finance teams to align procurement strategies with internal stakeholder needs.
Operational Oversight: Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery ensuring timely and accurate order placement. You will also work with the planning team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Performance Reporting: Track analyze and report on key procurement metrics including cost savings and supplier performance to leadership.
Qualifications :
Education: Bachelors degree in business supply chain or a related discipline. An APICS certification is strongly preferred.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in procurement or purchasing ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Core Competencies:
Strong analytical mathematical and problem-solving skills with experience in forecasting and trend analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and influence cross-functional groups.
A self-motivated results-driven individual with a track record of process implementation and improvement.
High degree of commitment attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
