Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of analyses both routine and non-routine primarily in molecular biology cell biology and virology test areas of Biopharmaceutical Services
- Conduct day-to-day activities in a laboratory setting under prescribed processes including protocols standard operating procedures and methods
- Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability ensuring accuracy and reliability of results
- Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
- Learn and apply molecular biology technology to support ongoing research and development efforts
- Design and execute experiments to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms
- Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and electronic records of all experimental procedures and results
- Analyze and interpret experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and software tools
- Prepare technical reports summaries and presentations of research findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and timelines
- Troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols to improve efficiency and reproducibility
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory environment
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
- Participate in regular team meetings and scientific discussions to share knowledge and stay updated on project progress
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies
- PCR technique exposure/experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 years of applied industry experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in biology molecular or cell biology or other related degree concentration or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information :
Position is full-time working 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Lancaster PA are encouraged to apply.
