Job Summary
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works
- NEC contract management (NEC3/NEC4 Option A)
- EWNs CEs applications for payment final accounts AFC and COWD reporting
- Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and
- corporate governance rules
- The commercial manager will lead the on commercial review and valuation of
- contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and
- conditions and contractual entitlement
- The commercial manager will provide proactive advice and guidance on all change
- including proposed scope changes
- Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in
- accordance with contractual conditions
- Contract administration of industry standard and bespoke forms of contract including
- NEC and ICC terms
- Ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly
- Manage the final account settlements
- Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors and consultants for projects and programmes
Qualifications :
- Educated to degree level
- An experienced user of the NEC3-4 suite of contracts
- Experienced in controlling costs for self delivery works
- Experienced in negotiating and procuring sub-contract packages (Design-Delivery-Commission) testing the robustness of costs and value for money
- Have or be working towards chartership of a relevant institution
- Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their role
- Site presence and co-location minimum 3 days a week
- You must have the right to work in the UK
